Born in 1950, Kuniharu Nakamura graduated from Osaka University, Japan. He joined Sumitomo Corporation in 1974 and served as General Manager of Motor Vehicles Dept., Senior Managing Executive Officer, Executive Vice President, and President. In April 2018, he served as Chairman of Sumitomo Corporation. In March 2019, he served as an economic consultant for the Shandong Provincial People's Government.

Its business covers trade, distribution, financial services, international communications, multimedia, and business investment.
