In order to thoroughly implement the important instructions General Secretary Xi Jinping made during his inspection tour in Shandong, strive to take lead in serving and integrating into the new development pattern, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Shandong and Fortune Global 500 and other leading enterprises in modern marine industry, “Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500 & Deepening Cooperation in Modern Marine Industry” will be held on June 2, 2022. This event will be cohosted by CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Shandong Provincial People’s Government, organised by Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, Shandong Development and Reform Commission and Shandong Provincial Oceanic Administration.

The event will be held both on-site and online, with main venue in Jinan and sub-venues in Shandong’s 16 municipalities. Online guests can attend the event locally. Jens Eskelund, Chief Representative of China for A.P. Moller - Maersk, will deliver an online speech. Li Ganjie, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Zhou Naixiang, Governor of Shandong Province, will hold online dialogues with leaders of Fortune Global 500 and other leading enterprises in modern marine industry. Sun Aijun, Head of Shandong Development and Reform Commission, and Zhao Haozhi, Mayor of Qingdao City will introduce Shandong’s modern marine industry and opening-up platforms respectively. All participants will share new prospects for Shandong’s opening-up and development and explore new opportunities for cooperation in modern marine industry.
