Craig Allen began his tenure in Washington, DC, as the sixth President of the United States-China Business Council (USCBC) on July 26, 2018. He had a long, distinguished career in US public service, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for China at the US Department of Commerce and the United States ambassador to Brunei Darussalam. Craig received a B.A. from the University of Michigan in Political Science and Asian Studies in 1979 and a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1985.

Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Washington D.C., US-China Business Council is a private, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization representing over 220 American companies doing business with China. USCBC's mission is to expand the US-China commercial relationship to the benefit of its membership.
