Chairman of Shandong Port Group

Huo Gaoyuan is now Chairman of Shandong Port Group. He was deputy to the eleventh Shandong Provincial People's Congress.

Shandong Port Group is a key state-owned enterprise approved by Shandong Provincial Government. Established on August 6, 2019, the group consists of four port groups, namely, Qingdao Port, Rizhao Port, Yantai Port and Bohai Bay Port. It operates in 10 business segments: financial services, ports construction, city-industry integration, logistics, shipping, cruise culture & tourism, equipment manufacturing, trade, sci-tech and overseas development. The group operates 16 major ports (port areas) and over 300 production berths, and has more than 60,000 employees. In 2019, the group's overall cargo throughput reached 1.32 billion tons, up 10.9 percent year-on-year, and its container throughput reached 29.56 million TEUs, a year-on-year growth of 9.7 percent, ranking No 1 and No 2 respectively among China's coastal ports.
