H.E. Kiyoshi Ejima

Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan

Born in April 1957 and Master of Engineering from the University of Tokyo. From 1995 to 2010, he served as the mayor of Shimonoseki. In 2013, he was elected to the Senate, and then served successively as the Administrative Officer of the Minister of Land and Transport, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Post-earthquake Reconstruction in Eastern Japan, and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. He took his current post in September 2020.
