H.E. Kong Xuanyou

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Japan

Born in July 1959, a native of Heilongjiang Province, and a university graduate. He served successively as Director and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Special Representative of the Chinese Government on the Korean Peninsula Affairs. He took his current post in 2019.
