Kim Sungjoo

President of the Korea International Trade Association

Kim Sung joo, born in 1950, master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. He has served as Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of South Korea, Chief Secretary of Economic Policy in the Secretariat of the President of the Republic of Korea, Director of the Office of State Adjustment Office of the Prime Minister, and Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. He has served as President of the Korea International Trade Association since 2017.
    Founded in 1946, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) is one of the largest and most influential economic organizations in South Korea and currently has more than 90,000 member enterprises. KITA continues to play an important role in strengthening international economic and trade cooperation and exchange, investigation and research, organizing conventions and exhibitions, providing various trade information, consultation, business guidance, cultivating trade professionals and making suggestions for government decision-making.
