II Introduction to the project unit

Longkou port, founded in 1914 and opened to the outside world in 1984, is one of the three core port areas of Yantai and one of the two 100 million ton port areas planned and constructed by Shandong Province. The port currently has 30 berths, including 7 00,000 DWT berths and one 150,000 DWT berth. The main channel is 16 meters in depth and 300 meters in bottom width. A special brand logistics chain including CA break-bulk liner, bauxite, coal, liquid chemicals, timber and containers is formed. In 2013, the annual throughput of the port broke 70 million tons, and the containers broke 0.45 million TEU. Longkou Port Group Co., Ltd. is he subject of development, construction and operation of Kongkou Port, with registered capital being 0.36 billion CNY and total assets being 7.5 billion CNY.

III Project content and scale of the construction

The project will build four 100,000 DWT (No. 30-33) berths. Length of the frontage is about 1200m, designed top elevation of the frontage is 3.6m, the designed bottom elevation of harbor basins and berths is -16m, and the bottom elevation is preserved to be -18m according to the wharf structure of 150,000 DWT. Diameter of the turning circle of the harbor basic is 560m, and the designed bottom elevation is -16m. Construction period of the project is from 2013 to 2015.

Longkou development zone is located at the northwest part of Shandong Peninsula, where the regional advantages are obvious, the economic strength is enormous, the industrial base is good, and the traffic system is complete. It is one of the seldom coastal development zones integrating harbor and natural resources such as electric power, coal, oil and natural gas. Infrastructure such as water, electricity, natural gas and roads and the supporting joint inspection organizations such as customs, commodity inspection, maritime affairs and port are complete. The new-built wharf enterprises will enjoy the preferential policy of “three exemptions and three reductions” of the state on corporate income tax.
