II  Introduction to the project unit

Located in the eastern part of Weihai City, the Eastern Binhai New City has the overall planning control area of 191 square kilometers and the urban construction land of 45 square kilometers, which can accommodate a population of 400,000 to 450,000. The development and construction for the whole city will be organized and implemented according to objective of “rudiment in three years, formation for in five years and city creation in ten years”. The development and construction of new city will be helpful in speeding up the central city eastward expansion and improving the ability of central cities radiation.

III  Project content and scale of the construction

China and South Korea Commodity Logistics Park is located in the south of China and South Korea (Weihai) Industrial Park, with the planning area of 2,400 mu. Aiming to seize the favorable opportunity of the construction of the China and South Korea free trade zone, and taking trade facilitation as the center, it will invest in the construction of high standard international logistics park, and further attract China and South Korea’s multinational companies to establish a modern logistics center integrating functions of international procurement, import and export distribution, export concentrated transportation. It will provide convenient platform for worldwide distribution business of China and South Korea’s multinational companies, and form a logistics base which takes international transit, multimodal transport, wholesale distribution, information service, etc. as the main part, thus to build a distributing center for South Korean foods and commodities.

IV  Construction conditions of the project

In 2013, Weihai received tourists from home and abroad of totally 2909674 million persons in the whole year and total income of tourist was 33.885 billion Yuan, which was awarded as “China’s Most Ecological City in 2013”. It has provided better promotion and sales channels for South Korean commodities to be introduced in China.
