II Introduction to the project unit
Binhe New District is an excellent opportunity for the state to implement the new urbanization strategy and for Dongping to be incorporated in “one-region one-circle one-zone” (Central Plains Economic Region, Shandong Provincial Capital City Cluster Economic Circle, Western Shandong Economic Rising Zone). It will be gradually built into a forerunner area for institutional mechanism reform in “one-region one-circle one-zone”, test area for coordination of urban and rural areas as a whole, demonstration area for ecological cycle development and new urban area full of modern characteristics.
III Project content and scale of the construction
With extremely significant traffic location advantage in Dongping, National Road 105, 220 is running north and south; Jinan-Guangzhou Highway and Jining-Xuzhou Highway pass the county boundary, both with exits; The Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou to be reshipped will also build shipping wharf in Dongping; it can directly connect Suzhou, Zhejiang, Shanghai area via Daqing River, Dongping Lake in the park. Port Shipping Logistics Park is planned and built by virtue of Dongping’s unique geographical advantage along The Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou, which mainly provides services for materials of Hebei, Shangdong and Henan transported southward, and materials of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai area transported northward; meanwhile, it can provide molten iron transshipment for large-capacity railway channel in mid-south area of Shanxi.

The planning area is 1 square kilometer, including port and operating area, coal storage and transportation area, sundry goods storage and transportation area, container storage and transportation area, comprehensive service area. The port frontage is 2,000 meters long, with a total of 20 berths of thousand tons. The designed annual throughput is 50 million tons.
