II  Introduction to the project unit

As one of four districts of Weifang--Kite capital of the world, Hanting District is birth place and main origin of Weifang’s kites, which is awarded as “hometown of Chinese folk art (Yangjiabu New Year pictures, kites)” by Ministry of Culture. Located in axis of peninsula urban cluster, it borders on Qingdao, Yantai in the east and Dongying, Zibo in the west, which has rich cultural heritage, good location, convenient and efficient transportation, perfect city function. Hanting has broad territory, abundant natural resources and complete variety of agricultural resources. With extensive application of cable radio and television, mobile telephone, the information transmission is convenient and the power supply is sufficient. It has fully furnished service facilities, such as catering, recreation, medical treatment, etc.

III  Project content and scale of the construction

With total investment of RMB 4 billion Yuan, China Food Valley Zhongkai Cold Chain Logistics Park is a people’s livelihood service project which is built on the land of 1,120 mu in the east of Beihai Road, west of Lantian Road, south of Shengtai Street, north of Xinpu Street of Hanting District, Weifang City. It is built according to the domestic first-class standard, including refrigeration house group with capacity of 600,000 tons, fresh aquatic product trading zone, frozen poultry meat trading zone, fruits and vegetables wholesale trading zone, dried food and seasoning trading zone, traditional local specialties trading zone, business office district, Taiwan’s agricultural and sideline products trading zone, foods catering zone, cold chain products trading center, processing and warehousing center, logistics distribution center, etc.

IV  Construction conditions of the project

No.1 business building has been covered. No.1, 2, 3 warehouses have been completed and accepted, which now have been operated. The cold chain processing plant and 3 trading markets have been completed and put into operation.

$ 645 million

VI  Market and economic benefit analysis and forecast

After completion and operation of this project, it will have the annual turnover of about 10 million tons and the annual trading volume of over 100 billion Yuan, and will accommodate more than 3,000 merchants and promote quantity of employment up to more than 26,000 persons. It will become a domestic leading, Asian first-class and world famous one-stop cold chain logistics integrated services platform for agricultural and sideline products.
