 II Basic information of the industrial park

Laiwu is an emerging industrial city whose industries are centered on steel, energy, and machining, especially the steel industry accounts for more than 50% of the industrial proportion. Laicheng Industrial Zone within the jurisdiction area of Laiwu City is a provincial economic development zone approved by the provincial government in 2006, with a total area of 150 square kilometers and a total population of 86,000. Jinghu Expressway, Qinglan Expressway, Tailai Expressway as well as the central and southern railway from Shanxi to Rizhao pass through the land. The newly planned Jinan-Laiwu intercity rail has a passenger station in the industrial zone. Laicheng Industrial Zone focuses on the introduction and cultivation of bio-pharmaceuticals, new energy, new materials and other emerging industries. The industrial zone has successively planned and built auto parts industrial park, biomedical industrial park, elevator industrial park, advanced manufacturing industrial park and other parks in the zone, and develops more than 400 enterprises.

 III The implementation background of the project

Laiwu City plans the Biomedical Industrial Park covering an area of 2 square kilometers. According to the philosophy of "integrating the industry and city, city promotes the industry, the industry encourages the city, the industry and city flourish together" and the thought of vertical integration of upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, adhere to the interactive advancement of industrial function and urban function, try to build the industrial park into a biomedical gathering highland integrating research and development, manufacturing, exhibition trade, comprehensive supporting and other functions, with the most complete industrial chain and the most perfect supporting functions, which has become a powerful engine and important support to promote the economic development of Laiwu City.

IV Planning and construction content

The Biomedical Industrial Park is a one-stop professional park integrating "research and development, transformation, incubation and industrial development", including five functional areas of pharmaceutical industry, convention and exhibition, medicine logistics, teaching hatch and ancillary services. At present, the park has started construction of 8 major projects planned by the national thousand talents program leading R&D team, such as Shennuoji, superconducting magnetic resonance and so on. The park plans to use 3-5 years of efforts to achieve the goal of “3 thousands": namely gather 1,000 professional and technical personnel, create 100 billion of proprietary technology market value, achieve 100 billion Yuan in sales revenue, and build it into the new heights of the national bio-pharmaceutical industry development.
