Coastal Tourism and Leisure Resort of Rizhao International Ocean City

II  Introduction to the project unit

Rizhao International Ocean City is the major project actively propelled by Singapore-Shandong Business Council, the important Sino-foreign cooperation park brought into the national strategies of Development Planning on Blue Economic Zone of Shandong Peninsula and The Twelfth Five-Year-Plan on National Marine Economy Development, and also the new city zone of Rizhao in the urban master planning and development. The planned total area is about 169.7 square kilometers, and the coastline is 16.5 kilometers. This project will focus on developing industries such as marine services, ocean engineering equipment, marine organism, seawater comprehensive utilization, ocean eco-environment protection and oceanside high-grade manufacturing.

III  Project content and scale of the construction

The project comprises: (1) Building a Rizhao Happy Sea World which occupies an area of 1300 mu and includes an ocean polar world, an ocean fishing center, ocean canival, cruises, yachts, speed boats, water screen film, water plane, sky wheel, four-season bathing beach, lighted court, opera house, Huadong wedding celebration base, Jinsha Island bathing beach, golf course an so on. (2) Building a five-star hotel which is developed with the real estate project occupying a net land use area of 250 mu (50 mu for the five-star hotel and 200 mu for the top-class residential land). The construction area of the five-star hotel is more than 6,000 square meters.

IV  Construction conditions of the project

The project is located at the CBD area of the international ocean city, occupies a universal water area of 2.2 square kilometers, and is adjacent to the national AAAA-level tourist attraction---Liujiawan Seafood Gathering Park to the east. The project is to be built into a leisure tourist resort integrating ecotourism, residence and vacation tour. Land expropriation application has been submitted.

Rizhao is an excellent tourism city nationwide. In 2012, it received 28.246 million domestic and foreign tourists with an income of 18.33 billion CNY. The number of tourists increases year by year, and the tourist market has huge potencial.
