II  Introduction to the project unit

Located in southeast of downtown, belonging to central urban area, Fangzi District has superior location and convenient transportation, which is key developing area for construction of modern large Weifang. With Jiaozhou-Jinan Railway, Jinan-Qingdao Highway, Weifang-Laiyang Highway, National Road 206, 309 longitudinally and horizontally passing through the whole district, it is adjacent to Weifang Airport in the west and Weifang Harbor in the north, which has only 1 hour’s drive to Qingdao Airport, Qingdao Port in the east. In 2012, the general financial revenue of the whole district reached 725 million Yuan.

III  Project content and scale of the construction

Shandong Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Industrial Park is located in Fangzi District, one of direct-controlled districts of Weifang which is “kite capital of the world”. Established in April 2012 with approval of Shandong Provincial Department of Land & Resources, the planning area of the park is 4 square kilometers. The park mainly introduces the surveying and mapping geographic information industry at home and abroad for development, which plans to invest 15 billion Yuan within three to five years to build the gathering development core platform for geographic information equipment manufacturing industry based in Shandong Province, with national radiation and world orientation.

IV  Construction conditions of the project

This project is promoted by Ministry of Land and Resources and energetically supported by Shandong Provincial Department of Land & Resources. Weifang Municipal People’s Government and People’s Government of Fangzi District are responsible for operation management, investment promotion, development and construction, which have given preferential policies in aspects of land and industry development, etc.

V  Market and economic benefit analysis and forecast

After full completion and putting into operation, it is expected to achieve main business income of 50 billion Yuan and profits and taxes of 10 billion Yuan annually.
